You found my strange little space on the Internet. I hope you are prepared for a bunch of silliness, because it’s about to go down.
My day job involves doing marketing and social media for ReedPOP, the incredible company that puts on such amazing shows as New York Comic Con, C2E2 in Chicago, and Star Wars Celebration. My favorite parts of my job include being a rampant creative pixie, spilling my brain worms everywhere, and making Fans super happy.
I’ve spent most of my life trying to spread whimsy, love, and friendship to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. This is why I help fuel the friendship and fun-filled adventures of the Iggles at the IGGPPC, along with so many other talented people. Check out my projects to see what other cool things I’ve been involved with.
In my spare time, I love to LARP, cosplay, and play board games. I love watching horror movies… good and bad, so let me know if you have any recommendations. I love spicy food, salad, sushi, pickles, and olives. I have a pretty weird palate. Some of my favorite fandoms are My Little Pony, Disney, Steven Universe, Bob’s Burgers, and Harry Potter – and too many more to name. I share the same interests with 5-year old girls everywhere. For some of the music I like, you can check out my last.fm page here.
From my Reedpop.com profile: Leslie “Stewie” Hunsinger is a ReedPOP alumna, having attended several ReedPOP events as Press and a cosplaying fangirl before becoming ReedPOP staff. At ReedPOP, she’s the newest member of the Marketing team, where she befriends Tribbles on social media, and adores connecting with the fan community. She co-founded the Geek Girl Pen Pals Club with her bestie from England, as a way to pair up nerdy soulmates from different lands who love the same fandoms. The Club has paired nearly 10,000 happy geeky friends and was nominated for a Geekie Award in 2014. She is a terrifying little ray of sunshine, who fangirls over adorable things like My Little Pony and Disney, as well as spooky things like Five Nights at Freddy’s and horror movies. She is a manic creative type who loves colors, multitasks like a Khaleesi, and gets her best ideas at four in the morning. She blames the goblin under her bed for this, and while she should be thankful for the inspiration, that dude’s not even paying rent. She’s fueled by iced coffee and salad. She hopes to one day meet Wicket W. Warrick, Winky the House Elf, and David the gnome. She lives with her video-gaming husband, Mark, in Norwalk, and they probably have too many cats. Follow her on Twitter @darlingstewie, because that’s where she can literally always be found.
The goal of this silly little blog is to spread love, nerd pride, and cool design to geeks everywhere. It’s about sharing stories about our favorite fandoms, cosplays, friends, and moments. It’s about encouraging our fellow Internetters. It’s about overturning and changing the scary and negative place that the Internet can be. Also cake.

Questions that have been asked of me at least one time in my life
How did you get the nickname Stewie?
My nickname in high school was Stewie because my last name was Stewart. I don’t really know if the baby from Family Guy had it first, or if I had it first, but either way we’ve both come to an agreement and are sharing it.
Are you with anyone?
Yep! I got married to a super cool nerd dude in June of 2014. This stud.
Where did you grow up?
I’m an Air Force brat, and as a result I’ve lived in loads of interesting places, including Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and Yakota AFB, Japan.
Where do you live now?
The seaside town of Norwalk, CT – home of ReedPOP, ballsy squirrels, and a literal crapton of seagulls.
What are your tattoos of?
I have lots of kawaii tattoos, all on my left arm. I have a cupcake, a cute Tokidoki bird, candy, a Pinkytoast little girl, a Fiona Hewitt little girl, Luna from Sailor Moon, a Jigglypuff ditch, and lots more adorable randomness.
IGGPPC? Iggle? I am like so confused right now.
Don’t be upset, I will explain! I co-founded the IGGPPC, or the International Geek Girl Pen Pals Club. Don’t worry, dudes are welcome, and it’s loads of fun. Iggles are what we call members of our club!
What cosplays have you done?
I am working on a full list with pics. Stay tuned for that!
