If I were a boy … I think I could understand … How it feels to love a girl – wait no! Sometimes I wonder if I was a man, how would I dress differently? I doubt I’d wear as many dresses as I tend to wear now, but I bet I’d be a trendy dude. This post was originally inspired by the beautiful Girl Gone Geek when I saw her post on it, and it’s since been traced back to A Geek and Her Oven, The Nerdy Girlie, and even the IGGPPC. And here you have it, the “If my blog was an outfit,” Dude Edish!
Sexy Yellow Bumblebee
I LOVE yellow. Just love it. Like a hot modern day Charlie Brown, it just calls to me. This trendy combo of black and yellow is like a super metrosexual bumble bee of awesome. I would definitely be prancing around the campus an art school wearing this entire outfit.
Something tells me I like man purses. I would definitely be able to find my companion in this awesome Doctor Who inspired outfit. The lighter is probably because I would be a dude who smokes an epic pipe… and check out my awesome pocket watch! Classic!
Colorful Comic Book Geek
I love colors!!! It’s one of my most favorite things! I also love the whole California skater look too! As a guy, I’d have impeccable taste in funky sunglasses, watches, and yes, more man purses. I’d rock lots of colorful comic book tees too!
The “If my blog was an outfit” idea has been great fun to bring to life. Special thanks to Jamila for being the original mama to introduce me to this FUN idea! Be sure to post your “If my blog was an outfit” post here, and let me know so I can see what YOU would rock if your blog was an outfit! More specifically, a dude’s outfit!
Annoyance #47 about being engaged to a graphic designer: They always want to try to “fix up” your resume. My hubby-to-be is applying for programmer jobs, and I was concerned the design of his resume might have been a little lackluster. Of course, I may have also read this Mashable article about a girl who applied to an agency with a unique Lego resume. How original and creative! So then I put on the Frozen soundtrack, had a glass of wine, and I just “let it go” on his resume. Hehe.

Oliver looks so majestic. Mark calls the little baby skeleton in the picture “Our child” (he is so weird <3). And I just love orchids, fake or not.
I love our Picasso artwork of the smoking skeleton!
Yellow, black and grey. It’s a spunky strange type of room now, but I love it 🙂
My bachelorette party was on Saturday. It was a fabulous time with some of my very best friends, and some pretty offensive straws. 2. We’re designing tiny little medieval banners to label everything at the wedding – from food, to pictures, and more!
We’re having a Handfasting, and we made our lovely cord. A Handfasting is a traditional ceremonial tying of hands, literally tying the knot, and it is very popular in Celtic weddings. It’s beautiful, isn’t it? Red for love, gold for prosperity, and white for a clean slate.
Our invitations are designed, signed, sealed and delivered.
We sealed all of our invitiations with real wax seals – H for Hunsinger or Hogwarts! You decide 😉 We also used awesome Harry Potter stamps, which are out just in time for the wedding!
I have been so completely not here, if you couldn’t tell by my last post date. It’s a mere 2 months to the day until Mark and I get hitched, and I’ve been swamped with creating crafts, celebrations and libations. Let me give you a visual tour of the past few weeks since I have been away.
One of my goal cosplays for 2014 was Ariel, and I’ve mostly done it! You can’t see the dress, but I did do a photo shoot with the amazing wig. Gotta love mermaid life. Wish I could be, part of your world… I might reprise this role at New York Comic Con this year, but I know my main priority is to do a Bob’s Burger group cosplay with my friends – expect Tina.
