GGG: Typin’ Squirrels into Etsy.

Gimme gimme gimme

This weeks GGG is brought to you by squirrels. They’re right smug little blighters who think they own every acorn this side of the Mississippi. You can’t keep them out of your bird feeder, out of your garbage, off the streets, or off your couch! So in honor of their cute little noses and their bushy tails, here are some fun squirrel inspired things to keep you happy!

Will I like this video… the flowchart!

Some of us interwebbers have some pretty strict standards when it comes to what we like. I personally have a rigorous screening process I go through to determine if I should waste my 2 and a half minutes watching a YouTube video or not. So in order to expedite the process I developed an easy to understand flowchart for anyone considering sending me a video. Feel free to send this to your own friends and family so they too will understand what you are looking for!

FCP #4: Woollyton aka @Woollyton

Featured Cutie Pie

This week’s Featured Cutie Pie is Woollyton! I discovered this website one rainy Sunday morning when I was e-shopping around for a cupcake necklace. Now I’m lucky enough to be able to interview the lovely and extremely talented woman behind the magic!

Woollyton Logo

Her work is the perfect mix of adorable, colorful, and yummy. Plus everything has kawaii eyes! I want to eat all her jewelry… and hug it… I am so torn!

Cute as a button, just like her jewelry!Name and/or moniker: Tawnie
Age: 20′s :)
Occupation: Woollyton President, Founder, CEO lol
Where you are from? St. Louis, Missouri
Websites: ShopWoollyton.com, Facebook.com/Woollyton, Facebook.com/Woollytonllc
Twitter Handle: don’t use twitter (But secretly she does!) @Woollyton

What you do in the cute industry and when did you first start? (She runs an online jewelry store) I honestly don’t remember when exactly I started Woollyton, I believe it was sometime back in 2009.

So… where did you get the idea for the name Woollyton? I got the name idea from a cat I used to have named Huskwoolly. lol

I want it all!

What are your charms made of? Most of our charms are handmade from polymer clay, liquid clay, and glitter. The necklace chains are stainless steel.

How are the charms made? Lots of time is spent sculpting each charm by hand.

Do you do any other cute things besides your store? ehh…not really. I’m a pretty boring person lol

Did any crafters, designers or cute people inspire you to start your cute designing? My mom, and brother inspired me. My mom has always been crafty. She used to sew clothes for me when I was younger, and I remember one year she made this adorable Rainbow Brite costume for me for Halloween. Wizzy the cat! IT HAS A BELLYBUTTON FACE My brother Jarett was always drawing, which inspired me to draw, which then turned into a love of all artsy and crafty things. I am also inspired by cute brands like Sanrio and TokiDoki.

What are your favorite cute and adorable characters? I love Rainbow Brite and Gumby

What else gives you cute inspiration? my adorable cat Wizzy

Where do you shop or buy cute things? anywhere that carries cute items

* * *

So there you have it! The most ridiculously adorable jewelry and the most ridiculously adorable cat. I think I might need a Wizzy of my own… It’s face!! IT’S FACE IS ALL … SQUEESH! The secret dirty truth behind this post is, I couldn’t even finish writing it before I just HAD to buy something. Teddy bears are my new obsesh.

GGG: Lolita Edish

Lolita is a style that originated in Japan and has blown up among adorable girls and anime geeks alike. I’d describe it as a mixture of Victorian-esque ruffled dresses with an element of kawaii, or cute in Japanese. Think petticoats, maryjanes, adorable babydoll curly hair, and a poofy dress that just makes you go EEE! I’ve been a fan of Lolita since I first saw a girl sporting this style at an anime convention I went to when I was 13. There are loads of styles of lolita… my favorite being sweet and classic.

I’ve gathered a few of my favorite Lolita pieces (with the help of @ninanoir13‘s knowledge of some great Lolita websites) to showcase in this week’s Gimme Gimme Gimme. Also some of the sites we learned about during Setsucon, at a panel called ‘Affording Lolita’ that showcased some of them. I hope you enjoy!

I recently bought a Lolita skirt from Bodyline. It’s a purple Love Nadia skirt and I absolutely love it. It’s not so crazy that I can’t wear it in public, and oh yes – I have been wearing it a lot in public XD
